Assam TET Syllabus 2021 – About TET Exam
The full form of TET examination is teacher eligibility test. TET is the minimum qualification for a person who wants to become a teacher. The examination is mandatory as per the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education(RTE) Act 2009. In order to be eligible for teaching job in schools, individuals should pass TET. In addition to TET, a candidate has to pass Diploma in Elementary Education(DElEd) & Bachelor’s in Education (BEd) degree to become a teacher.
There are many types of TET exams according to the level that is as follows:-
Lower Primary TET (LP TET) – Class I to Class V
Upper Primary TET (UP TET) – Class VI to Class VIII
Secondary TET- Class IX to Class X
Higher Secondary TET – Class XI to Class XII
TET is conducted by both the Central Government and the State Governments in India. Most of the States conduct their TET examinations. TET is organized to complete the recruitment of teachers in schools.
