Eligibility Criteria of AAU Jorhat Jobs 2023

Assam Agricultural University (AAU) has released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 44 Scientist, Subject Matter Specialist, Programme Assistant, Farm Manager, Driver, Steno, Support Staff & other vacancy under Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVKs) of Assam Agricultural University Eligibility Criteria are given below.

Residentship: The candidates who are permanent residents of Assam should only apply for all category of posts except for the post at Sl No 1.

1. Senior Scientist-cum-Head

Initial Pay: Rs. 1, 31,400/- (Level 13A in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms)

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field of Agriculture/ Animal Science/ Fisheries/ Community Science/ Horticulture/ Sericulture with 8 years experience (excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree) in the relevant subject as Scientist/ Lecturer/ Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band 3 of Rs. 15,600/- Rs. 39,100/- with grade pay of Rs. 5,400/ Rs. 6,000/-, Rs. 7,000/-, Rs. 8,000/-, (as per 6th CPC report) having contributions to research/ teaching/ extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations and impact.

Desirable: Specializations in implementing extension education programme.

2. Subject Matter Specialist) (T6)

Initial Pay: Rs.56,100/- (Level 10 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms)

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Agriculture /Animal Science/ Community Science/ Fisheries Science from a recognized University.

3. Programme Assistant (Lab. technician) (T4)

Initial Pay: Rs.35,400/- (Level 6 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Animal Science/ Fishery Science/ Community Science/ Horticulture/ Sericulture from a recognized University.

4. Programme Assistant (Computer) (T4)

Initial Pay: Rs.35,400/- (Level 6 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field (Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology) or equivalent from a recognized University.

5. Farm Manager (T4)

Initial Pay: Rs.35,400/- (Level 6 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Animal Science/ Fishery Science/ Horticulture/ Sericulture from a recognized University.

6. Stenographer Grade-III

Initial Pay: Rs. 25,500/- (Level 4 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with working knowledge of computer. (minimum 6 months Diploma in Computer Application).
Professional Efficiency: The candidates will be given one dictation test in English at 80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes. The candidates will be required to transcribe the matter in 50 minutes on computer.

7. Driver (T1)

Initial Pay: Rs.21,700/- (Level 3 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms)

Essential Qualification:
(i) Passed HSLC or its equivalent examinations from a recognized board.
(ii) Driving license for both heavy (Tractor, power tiller etc.) and light vehicles from the appropriate Authority (the candidate will have to pass the practical skill test to be taken by an appropriate Committee of the University.
(iii) Two (2) years experience of driving.
Desirable:
(i) One year trade certificate in the relevant field from ITI,
(ii) Experience of motor mechanic work.

8. Supporting Staff Grade – I

Initial Pay: Rs. 18,000/- (Level 3 in Pay Matrix, 7th Pay, ICAR norms)

Essential Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent pass or ITI pass.

Age Limit: Maximum Age Limit as on 01.01.2023 is as follows

>> Senior Scientist-cum-Head: 47 years. However, there is no upper age limit for in service candidates.
>> Subject Matter Specialist/ Programme Assistant (Lab. Technician)/ Programme Assistant (Computer)/ Farm Manager: 38 years
>> Stenographer Grade —III, Driver & Supporting Staff: 40 years.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for the reserve category will be as per norms of the Govt. of Assam.
