Eligibility Criteria of AESRB Recruitment 2023

Assam Engineering Service Recruitment Board (AESRB), Guwahati has released a job notification for the recruitment of 294 Assistant Professor, Lecturer and Senior Instructor vacancy in the Govt. Engineering Colleges and Government Polytechnics of Assam under the Higher Education (Technical) Department, Government of Assam Eligibility Criteria are given below.

Resident-ship: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam having Indian Citizenship as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 21 years of age and more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2022.

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

SC/STP/STH: By 5 (five) years.
OBC/ MOBC: By 3 (three) years.
PwD: By 10 (ten) years.

Educational Qualification:

1. Lecturer (Technical) in Government Polytechnics
   Level 9A: B.E./B. Tech./B.S. in relevant discipline with First Class or equivalent.
   Level 10: Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in relevant disciplines with First Class in either of the two at the time of application.
2. Assistant Professor (Non-Technical) in Govt. Engineering Colleges
   The qualification shall be as per the UGC Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS) dated 18th July, 2018 and UGC guidelines issued from time to time.
3. Lecturer (Non-Technical) in Government Polytechnics
   Level 9A: Master’s degree in appropriate subject with First class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
   Level 10: A Master’s degree with First Class or equivalent in a relevant subject and must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
4. Senior Instructor in Govt. Engineering Colleges & Polytechnics
   3 years Diploma in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from AICTE recognized Institutes with First Class or 60% of marks. (Other trade)
   Bachelor’s degree with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with B.T./B. Ed or 2 years teaching experience in Secondary School. (Science & Mathematics).
5. Assistant Professor (Technical) in Govt. Engineering Colleges
   B.E./B. Tech./B.S. and M.E./M. Tech./M.S. or integrated M. Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees. (Others)

B.E./B. Tech./B.S. and M.E./M. Tech./M.S. or integrated M. Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
OR
B.E./B. Tech. and MCA with First Class or equivalent in any one of the two degrees.
OR
Graduation of three years’ duration with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and MCA with First Class or equivalent with 2 years of teaching/research/industrial experience after acquiring degree of MCA. (Computer Application)
