Eligibility Criteria of Assam Forest Department Recruitment 2023
Assam Government recently released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 2741 Forester Grade I, Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable, Driver and Grade IV vacancy in Department of Environment and Forestry Assam Eligibility Criteria are given below.
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit proof of residence /Domicile Certificate after publication of the final select list. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Educational Qualification:

| Forester Grade I | Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any Examination declared equivalent by the Central/ State Government. |

| Driver (Constable) | HSLC (10th pass) or equivalent examination passed and a valid four wheeler driving license issued by the any Competent Authority of Assam. |

| Grade IV | Cook: Class VII with Training Certificate or Experience. Water Carrier: Class VIII with Training Certificate. Dhubi: Class VIII with Training Certificate or Experience. Barber: Class VIII with Training Certificate or Experience. Pump Operator: HSLC or Equivalent and Trade Certificate/ License. Electrician: HSLC or Equivalent with Trade Certificate. Age Limit:
(I) Forester Grade I, Forest Guard & Driver: Candidates age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).
(II) AFPF Constable & Driver Constable: Candidates age must be between 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1998).
(III) Grade IV: Candidate age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983).
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
SC/ STP/ STH: 5 years
OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
