Eligibility Criteria of Assam Police Recruitment 2023

State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 349 posts Eligibility Criteria are given below.

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit proof of residence /Domicile Certificate after publication of the final select list. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.

Employment Exchange Registration Certificate: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.

Age Limit:

Sub-Officer: Candidate age must be between 20 to 24 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2003 and on or after 01.01.1999).
Other Posts: Candidate age must be between 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2023 (i.e. candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1998).

Sub Inspector of Police (Communication):
Candidate should not be more than 24 years and less than 20 years of age as on 01-01-2023. (Candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2003 and on or after 01-01-1999).

Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC/MOBC: 3 years
Trained Home Guards: 3 years

Educational Qualification:

APRO:

1. Constable (Communication): H.S. (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council.
2. Constable (Driver): HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.
3. Constable (Dispatch Rider): HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.
4. Constable (Handymen): HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.
5. Constable (Messenger): HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.
6. Constable (Carpenter): HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and passed prescribed ITI course in trade.

F & ES:

7. Sub-Officer: H.S. (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council.
8. Emergency Rescuer: H.S. (Science) passed from a recognized Board or Council.

Sub Inspector of Police (Communication):

B.Sc. (Electronics Science/ IT/ Computer Science) (10+2+3 duration) or

3-year Diploma from State Polytechnic in Electronics and Tele Communication, or Electronics or Information Technology, or Instrumentation or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent with 2 years work experience in the field of Electronics, Telecom, IT or allied environment. or

3-year Diploma from State Polytechnic in Electronics and Tele Communication, or Electronics or Information Technology, or Instrumentation or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent and 2 years additional course/courses in Telecommunication /IT /Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or equivalent. or

Master of Computer Application (MCA) or

B.E./ B. Tech. in E & TC or Computer or Instrumentation or IT or equivalent qualification in same discipline.

iv) Class VI Passed Certificate for the candidates who have not appeared in HSLC or equivalent examination.
v) Certificate of diploma qualification as mentioned.

Selection Process:

A) For the posts of Constable of Police (Communication) and Constable (Carpenter) in
APRO and Sub-Officer & Emergency Rescuer in F & ES
a) Physical Efficiency Test – 40 marks
b) Written Test – 50 marks
c) NCC – 5 marks
d) Oral/Viva Voce – 5 marks
Total – 100 marks

B) For the posts Constable (Driver), Constable (Dispatch Rider), Constable (Handymen)
& Constable (Messenger)
a) Physical Efficiency Test – 40 marks
b) Driving Test (Skill Test) – 10 marks
c) Written Test – 50 marks
d) NCC – 5 marks
e) Oral/Viva Voce – 5 marks
Total – 110 marks
