CMs Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025: Continuing its commitment to empower the youth, the Government of Assam has launched the Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme on 3rd of November 2025. It is an initiative of the Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department.

Under this scheme, fresh graduates of Assam (2025 pass-outs) from government and public institutions will receive financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month for one year — a crucial step towards supporting their transition from education to employment. The amount will be directly transferred to their bank accounts.

The scheme aims to support young graduates in their job search, encourage preparation for competitive examinations, and promote self-employment opportunities, fostering a self-reliant and skilled generation for a prosperous Assam. Objectives of CM Jibon Prerana Scheme

The key objectives of the scheme are to:

> Support fresh graduates in their job search.
> Encourage fresh graduates to prepare for competitive exams.
> Empower fresh graduates to pursue self-employment.

During the launch of the scheme, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Since I became the Chief Minister, I have focused on addressing the problems faced by our youth. This scheme is one way to provide support and ensure that financial constraints do not hinder their education and development.”

Eligibility Criteria of CMs Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025

Resident-ship: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.

Educational Qualification: The applicant must be a fresh graduate (2025 pass-out only) from Govt./ Public institutions of state or central government, situated in Assam. Students from open universities and private institutions are not eligible to apply for CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme.

Employment Status: The applicant should be currently unemployed.

Exclusion:

Following categories of candidates are not eligible to apply for Jibon Prerana Scheme.

Children of government employees, while children of Class IV employees will be able to receive the benefits.
Children of ministers and MLAs.
Children of govt. registered contractor.
Children of parents earning over Rs 10 lakh annually.

How To Apply for CMs Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025

Applicants need to visit official Digital Infrastructure for DBT Scheme (DIDS) portal for submission of online application this scheme. One needs to follow below mentioned steps to apply online.

=> Scroll down, go to Important Links section.

=> Click on One-Time Registration link.

=> A new webpage will be opened.

=> Enter your details as required in the portal; and register yourself.

=> After registration, Click on Online Application Form and Login.

=> Enter all credentials and upload your documents as required in the portal.

=> Click on “Submit” and take print out of your submitted application.
