Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2021 – Eligibility Criteria

The Indian Navy has released a Job Advertisement for the recruitment of 300 vacancy of Sailor for Matric Recruit (MR) – April 2022 batch Eligibility Criteria are given below.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognized by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

Age Limit: Candidates should born between 01-04-2002 to 30-09-2005 (Both dates inclusive).

Salary: During the initial training period, scholarships of Rs.14,600/- per month will be acceptable. After successful completion of initial training, they will be placed at Level 3 of Defence Pay Matrix (Rs 21,700-69,100). In addition, they will be paid Rs 5200/- per month and MSP @ DA (as applicable).

Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2021 – Selection Process

The shortlisting of the candidates for written examination and PFT will be undertaken on the basis of percentage of qualifying examination (10th examination).
The cut off marks may differ from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.
Written Test:
(a) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
(b) The question paper will comprise of two sections i.e. Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge.
(c) The standard of the question paper will be that of 10th  level and the syllabus for the examination is available on the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
(d) Duration of examination will be 30 minutes.
(e) All candidates appearing for written examination would be subjected to PFT on the same day.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
(a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.
(b) PFT will consist of a 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak), and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.
(c) Minimum height 157 cms.  Weight and Chest should be proportionate.
